Tonight is the night that Xanadu returns to San Diego. No, it’s not the fantastic stage musical that was here for two months last year. (That’s actually opening up tonight as well, but further up the road in Costa Mesa.) Tonight, it’s the Original Motion Picture version of Xanadu starring Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly that is playing here in San Diego.
The movie is notoriously known for being a bad movie, as it has a very loose plot, but despite the fact the movie bombed originally, it’s soundtrack was a massive hit for the record label. The collaboration between Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) and Olivia Newton-John (ONJ) on the title track, Xanadu has made the song one of Oliva’s biggest hits. Filling out the rest of the album are more fantastic songs by ELO and ONJ. Wisely, the songs weren’t put on the album in the order in which they appear in the movie, they were placed so that one side was the ELO side and the other side was the ONJ side. As the both acts draw different audiences, it made sure the fans of each artist could enjoy the work of their favorite if they weren’t as big a fan of the other.
I had actually rented from Netflix James Arthur Ray’s DVD called “Harmonic Wealth” at the end of July prior to the tragedy of a few people dying in a sweat lodge in Sedona at one of his events. I did not rent it out of any morbid curiosity, but rather I quite enjoy “The Secret” and I had actually attended an event here in San Diego where James Ray was pitching his Harmonic Wealth program.
However, the DVD sat in my pile untouched until about a week ago. For some reason I’ve just not been able to bring myself to put it in the DVD player and watch it. And when I finally did, I just watched about twenty minutes of it before I turned it off, then a couple days later resumed where I left off, paused again for another couple days and then finally finishing it off today. I just couldn’t do it in one sitting.
I think part of it is due to the fact that following the event I wanted to say hello to James Ray and give him a copy of a mix CD I made of songs that have a “Law Of Attraction” feel about them. I wanted to present a copy of it to James Ray as a thank you for the inspiration I got from his segments in “The Secret.” And when I finally got my opportunity to present it to him, he quickly handed it off to his assistant and asked me if I was going to come to one of his Harmonic Wealth weekends and I said that would not be able to do it at this time, he had absolutely no interest in me or my presenting him with a sign of my gratitude.
As I’ve started to become proficient in making sugar-free alternatives for desserts that are compliant with Jorge Cruise’s Belly Fat Cure program, one of the challenges I’ve had in mind that I wanted to attempt for myself was to make an as close to sugar-free as possible Black Forest cake for my birthday. Not any of the fancy Black Forest cakes made with Cherry liquor or several fancy layers as those to me aren’t Black Forest cakes to me. For me, I tend to like the plain ol’ neighborhood supermarket variety of Black Forest cakes.
The reason I love these kinds of Black Forest cake is because it was always something special my grandmother would get from her local SuperValu Grocery store back in Calgary, Canada when I was a kid. She would do this especially for me when I would come to stay with her or at least that’s what she would tell me. Its not so much that the cake was anything special in itself, just the memories of time with my grandmother where she would make me feel like I was the most important person in the world and we were getting to enjoy a special treat together. I miss my grandmother since she passed away at the end of 2001, so I generally like to celebrate my birthdays with a Black Forest cake to not only celebrate my birthday but to feel like I’m still having a special moment with my grandmother.
Tonight I attended the second meeting of the Byron Katie Meetup Group for the San Diego area. It was a good evening to get further exposed to more information about “The Work” that is integral to Byron Katie’s program.
We got to hear an audio of Byron Katie going through the process of “The Work” and the four questions and turn arounds within “The Work” as well as a few volunteers willing to go through the process on their stressful thoughts within the program. It’s a very enlightening process, and since I went into greater detail about the program after my first encounter with it, I’ll just invite you to read that blog entry by clicking here.
If you’d like more information on Byron Katie, visit her website at TheWork.com and if you’re in the San Diego area, consider joining the Meetup group so that you can stay informed about when meetings are. It’s looking like the meetings will likely be every other week on Wednesdays. Click here to visit the group on Meetup.com.
Yesterday, I received an e-mail invitation from Dr. Stephan Bajon for a Meetup.com meeting. Dr. Bajon is the doctor who did the Darkfield Live Cell Microscopy work on my blood for Jorge Cruise‘s upcoming documentary, “Death By Sugar” (You can see a trailer for the film that features both Dr. Bajon and me by clicking here, and if you want to read more about the experience, click here to read it here on my blog.)
Dr. Bajon’s invitation had the note “This has helped me with reducing a great deal of stressful beliefs.” and when I looked at the information about the meeting, I saw that it was for that night, which I fortunately had free. Without really looking into what the meeting was about I decided I would go. The reason I chose to do this without researching it is that I met Dr. Bajon through Jorge Cruise. How I ended up meeting and working with Jorge Cruise was through too many fortuitous coincidences that I have no other explanation for how it’s happened other than the Law of Attraction has made it happen. (That perhaps is a story for another blog entry.)
Mind Movies, the powerful Law of Attraction Video Creation Ki,t is relaunching today. What this means is that if you buy it anytime today or within this week, you’ll have access to several bonuses that aren’t normally included. These include bonuses from Bob Proctor and Joe Vitale of The Secret and many more. (Click here to see the bonuses.) Additionally, with the relaunch they are giving away a free upgrade to Mind Movies 2.0 version when that becomes available. However, that bonus is strictly limited to the first 3,000 people who purchase a Mind Movies creation kit. So you’d have to act quickly to get in on that bonus.
One of the things I like best about the relaunch is that Ryan Higgins and Natalie Ledwell have finally gotten smart and are just outright offering the digital download edition as the version you’re buying. The last time they launched Mind Movies, you had to buy a whole physical kit for $200, and you would get free access to an online kit so you could get started right away. The didn’t just outright offer the digital kit without the physical kit unless you happened to catch one of their special one week only sales for the digital kit, which was nice, but didn’t give you much time to act before it was gone again and you’re stuck ordering the big physical kit. So for a very reasonable $49 you can get your Mind Movie Kit today. (Don’t worry though if you want the physical kit, you’ll get a chance to upgrade your digital kit purchase to a physical one for an additional $49 + $14 for shipping) when you purchase the digital kit today).
If you ever needed to see a poster child for The Law of Attraction at work Susan Boyle is it. As April 11th started, the world outside of Susan’s hometown of Bathgate, a rapidly growing town in West Lothian in Scotland had no knowledge of Susan Boyle. By the end of the day all of Britain was a buzz with Susan Boyle and within days, the world is all a buzz with Susan. In less than a week’s time she’s gone from an unemployed, lonely woman with a cat named Pebbles, to instant celebrity even rumored to have been invited to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show and in talks for a record deal with Simon Cowell’s record label all thanks to a song from the musical, “Les Misérables” called “I Dreamed A Dream”, Simon Cowell’s “Britain’s Got Talent” program on ITV, and the magic of YouTube.
Neil Midgley of Britain’s Telegraph described Susan’s unassuming appearance as a “podgy woman with a frumpy frock, a wiry hairdo and heavy brows” leaving the audience and probably the judges to assume Britain was about to be treated to a performance to be mocked much like William Hung‘s appearance on “American Idol” in 2004. With the audience snickering and the judges barely able to hold back their laughter at the notion this woman who wants to sound like Elaine Paige. Well perhaps it’s just better to watch what happened. Play the video below and witness for yourself what happened in seven minutes on “Britain’s Got Talent.”
The makers of the Mind Movies Creation Kit are offering a limited time special for people who want a deeply discounted version of the kit. The full kit which includes 6 CDs/DVDs, a presentation folder, and a small workbook for $197, is a great deal and a fun package to get.
If you’re willing to forgo the physical shipment and have access to the identical content except in the form of video and PDF downloads, can save 75% off the full purchase price and get it for $47. The Digital Download edition of the Mind Movies Creation Kit are only available at this price until Midnight on October 31, 2008 (no indication of which time zone is the cut off, but so far all their launches have been using the the United States Pacific Time Zone as the basis for their launch times.)
This is a great deal and during this offer, it’s the lowest cost for downloadable software to create a vision board video based on the concepts taught in “The Secret” by John Assaraf. With the software you will get to pick the script based on the types of wants and needs you want to attract into your life using the Law of Attraction. You also get to pick your own music and you get links to find images online to meet your wishes. Also included are a bunch of bonuses with an approximate value of $699. Most of which are additional audio downloads, and there are also a few pre-made mind movies designed for kids to introduce them to the Law of Attraction and how to manifest their dreams and desires in their lives.
So what is it about Aussies anyway? They seem to totally have this figured out, especially when you consider that the land down under is where we got Rhonda Byrne who is responsible for the movie and book, “The Secret.” I’m sure you’ll agree that was life changing all by itself.
And now, Ryan has added another dimension to the Law of Attraction that ramps up how fast you can manifest anything you want into your life.
If you’ve ever seen the colossal selling video “The Secret” or read the book version, or even seen the “The Secret” discussed on Oprah Winfrey’s show, then you’re already familiar with the concept of creating a vision board, as taught by John Assaraf. Essentially, the concept to making a vision board, is put up photos of what things or concepts you want in life on a board and then visualize having those things or feelings as if they were already part of your life.
So this can be quite a laborious process, but if you really want those things in your life, then it’s worth the time and effort. Well when I was first introduced to “The Secret” at Raymond Aaron’s “Monthly Mentor University” a couple of years ago, I thought about putting together a vision board, but really couldn’t get past the feeling that clipping pictures out of magazines and using glue sticks to attach those pictures to colored construction paper and writing little sayings, felt a little too junior highish for me. So needless to say, I never did one, even though John Assaraf’s story of living in the same exact dream home he put on his vision board was quite compelling in itself.
