Ask Me Your Belly Fat Cure Questions

In order to make it easier for people to ask their questions about the Belly Fat Cure program, I’ve created a new page on this site for people to post their questions. It’s accessible in two ways off the main page of Ryan’s Incredible World, first, the brand new “Belly Fat Cure Ask Ryan” graphic which appears in the sidebar will take you there, and there also is a text link in the “Pages” section of the sidebar.

I figured this option might be a better way to ask me your Belly Fat Cure questions and get the answers all in one place as opposed to reading through all the various Belly Fat Cure blog entries I have throughout the site. If you’ve got questions about the program, I want to help you get answers to your questions.

The important thing to keep in mind is that I am not Jorge Cruise, so your questions will not go to Jorge Cruise, nor will my answers be officially sanctioned by Jorge Cruise. I just am someone who’s been successful with the program and would like to help others with their questions for the program. I have more details about my success on the Belly Fat Cure program and further disclaimers on the “Ask Ryan” page.

Get Your Belly Fat Cure Book Autographed By Jorge Cruise

Now that the Belly Fat Cure Book is out and available, Jorge Cruise is going to be getting out there to meet folks and one of the ways to do that is by book signing events. At the moment, only the first two are scheduled, and for lucky Costco members, both events are at Costco stores.

For Costco members in the New York area, Jorge will be at the Costco in Westbury, New York on Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at Noon. And for Costco members in the San Diego area, Jorge will be at the Costco off Morena Blvd. on January 30th, 2010 at Noon. Come bring your books or buy one there. Jorge want as many people as possible to come down and get their books signed, he wants to meet you, take photos with you and more.

I know two signings doesn’t cover a whole lot of the US and I’m sure more dates will get added in other places. In fact, Jorge is soliciting suggestions from his blog readers on where he should go to do future book signings. You can send in your destination suggestions by clicking here and leaving a comment on Jorge’s Blog.

More specific details on the book signings including the address and phone numbers of the two Costco locations are as follows: (more…)

My “New” iPhone 3G

Earlier this month, my good friend Vito Grandolfo, said that he was going to upgrade his iPhone 3G to an iPhone 3GS phone and wanted to know if I would be interested in his iPhone 3G. I was definitely interested and I asked Vito if he was interested in my older Blu-Ray player, a Samsung BD-P1600. And he was interested so we decided to do a swap. A older Blu-Ray player for an older iPhone.

Vito got his new phone on Christmas Eve and we arranged a time to the technology exchange on the day after Christmas as Vito was flying out to another assignment for his job the very next morning. I helped Vito set up the Blu-Ray player on his TV and gave him a couple of the freebie Blu-Ray discs I had gotten by mail order rebate with the purchase of the player and we made sure it all worked.

Because I’m a T-Mobile customer and not an AT&T customer it was going to take a little bit of time to get the new iPhone ready for use. I already knew I wasn’t going to be able to use the 3G network as AT&T’s 3G network operates on a different frequency than T-Mobile’s 3G network and they’re not compatible. But what I was looking forward to was the integrated GPS as the older original generation iPhone I was using was only ever able to approximate my location using triangulation between cell phone towers and was not always the most accurate, especially when trying to use Google Maps for directions or having the phone identify the direction I was traveling on highways for one of the traffic monitoring applications. Additionally the iPhone Vito gave me was double the capacity of the small 4 GB iPhone I was currently using at the time. So plenty of room to expand.

Follow Up Interview With Jorge Cruise

Not only is today the day you can now buy Jorge Cruise’s Belly Fat Cure book in stores, I received a call from his office yesterday to ask if I would be available to come in today for a follow up video interview to the sugar experiment video. Fortunately I was free today so I agreed to stop by the office.

When I stop in, I like to bring some of my treats from my latest recipes so I unfortunately didn’t have any on hand as I left the last of my last batches at my parent’s house over Christmas. I made sure to leave work a little bit early so I could race down to the health food stores to pick up the supplies I needed to whip up a batch of Nanaimo Bars. Normally it’s best to make them a day ahead so they have time to properly chill in the refrigerator, but I didn’t have a chance to go to the store yesterday and so a few short hours in the freezer was going to have to make up for overnight in the refrigerator…hopefully.

I got all my ingredients ready, raced through the production of the Nanaimo Bars as quickly as possible and got them in the freezer while I got ready. They had asked me to bring a couple of solid colored shirts with no logos on them, which is a small problem for me, as the bulk of my non-work related wardrobe consists of printed t-shirts. If it’s got a funny saying or a logo I love to wear it. Plain stuff is just too boring to me, so I had to make a special trip to the store.

Ryan’s Incredible World Now With A Mobile Version

Ryan's Incredible World - Mobile VersionOne of the latest additions to my blog site is plugin that automatically generates a mobile version of the website for mobile phone browsers. The nice thing about it is that it doesn’t require pointing people to a different URL. My site is now able to automatically detect if you’re on a mobile phone and will show the version optimized for mobile phones.

The new mobile version presents my blog in an easier to read version for mobile phones. Instead of showing a zoomed out version of the main page with microscopic text when you first visit RyansIncredibleWorld.com, the new mobile version presents the ten most recent blog entries on the main page showing just the title, date of the blog entry, and the image that I lead the entry off with. All you have to do to read an entry is click on the title of the blog entry and it’ll take you to a mobile version. In order to keep the bandwidth per page down, the blog entries are broken down into multiple smaller pages of text to allow for easier downloading in smaller chunks of data. The blog entries will also allow you to check out the comments and even write your own comments. And there is even a search box so you can find your favorite entries. And there’s even an option to switch to the regular web version of the blog if you want to view it as the blog appears normally.

Sugar Free Nanaimo Bar Factory In My Kitchen

Nanaimo Bar FactoryYesterday, I took on the daunting task of making four batches of Nanaimo Bars using the Sugar Free recipe I developed earlier this year. (For those new to my blog and unfamiliar with my adventures developing my Sugar Free Nanaimo Bar recipe, click here to see all my Nanaimo Bar entries. The recipe also appears below.) It was the first time I have made multiple batches in one day and it was certainly an interesting experience. As the dessert is a layered treat, I did all four sets of each layer before moving on to the next layer. It was definitely a big production and of course, I couldn’t do them all the same, so I did three batches as the regular version of the recipe and one batch in the peanut butter variation.

Part of the reason for doing so many batches at once is that I promised a batch to be a gift for a friend for his birthday, also I’m attending a couple of Thanksgiving events that I don’t want to arrive at empty handed. Also my roommates really liked the peanut butter variation when I first tried that variation of the recipe but I haven’t made a second batch of that one, until now.

I had to set up the kitchen into almost a factory setup with many little “stations” to handle the various preparation work. I had a food processor station, a mixer station, a boiler station, as well as a station to store the pans between batches. And I was jumping between the various stations often working on more than one batch at a time. In some cases I was putting butter into the double boiler to melt for the next batch while finishing the chopping and mixing for the previous batch. It definitely felt like quite like a factory production with various stations I set up in the kitchen to handle the specific preparations tasks. It definitely worked really well for getting the base layer made.

Invitation To Join Jorge Cruise’s 12 Week Belly Fat Cure Program

Belly Fat Cure Book CoverToday I received a phone call from Kim from Jorge Cruise’s office. I was being offered an invitation to take part in the 12 week Belly Fat Cure online coaching program that started last week. Thanks to the suggestion by Lynne who wrote has written some comments here on my blog she wrote into Jorge’s staff suggesting I should be part of the program. (Click here to see the blog entry Lynne commented on) According to Kim, Jorge agreed and was calling to give me the details.

I feel honored to be invited to participate. I strongly believe that the Belly Fat Cure program is one of the easiest to apply programs that really works. I feel the folks who have joined the 12 week program are in for a life changing experience. The original 10 week program for Costco members that I was part of ended quite a while ago and it was the trial model for the program Jorge is offering. I learned a lot and have changed my eating patterns for life as a direct result of that program. I am over 65 pounds lighter and 10 inches smaller around my waist because of that information. And I am still using the program to continue on my path.

I really appreciate being invited to participate in the 12 week program especially due to the fact that a number of the participants who have joined the 12 week program have taken the time to write in comments and questions here on my blog. I am definitely happy to help out answering any and all questions about the program that I get here to the best of my ability as a successful student of the program. Having access to the 12 week program makes it easier for me to be able to answer specific program related questions from program participants. (Just a reminder to the folks on the program, I do not work for Jorge Cruise and my responses are not officially sanctioned by Jorge Cruise or his group, but I will answer the questions to the best of my ability.) I am more than happy to share my experiences on the program so that you too can have success with the program. Please do continue to use my blog as a resource and anything I can help you with, submit a comment in response to any blog entry and I will respond as soon as I have opportunity to do so.

Canadian Goodies From GoCanuck.com

Candian Goodies From GoCanuck.comOne of the things that I suppose is both good and bad about growing up in one place and moving to another is that you get to experience different things, but you also get nostalgic for the things that you can’t get in the new place that were readily available where you used to live. So as a Canadian living in San Diego, I tend to miss some of the things that were readily available in Canada that aren’t readily available here in San Diego. Fortunately, there are some great Canadians who are helping make sure former Canadians can get their fix for Canadian items, such as Rob and Elena Peters.

In what is becoming a more common way of meeting people, I met Elena Peters through Twitter. Somehow she found one of my twitter accounts and started following me. I occasionally peek at who is following me on my twitter accounts I was certainly curious about this “GoCanuck” that was following me, so I clicked over to read some of the tweets made on Twitter as well as follow the link to her site. It looks like Elena spends some time in San Diego every year and I had unfortunately just missed her most recent visit which included a Canada Day celebration that sounded like a fun event to be at. I certainly would have gone to celebrate Canada Day with other Canadians here in San Diego if I had known about the event beforehand.

Ryan’s Incredible World – Amazon Kindle Edition Now Available

Ryan's Incredible World Kindle EditionAmazon Kindle Owners can now take Ryan’s Incredible World with them to read on their Kindle devices. Amazon recently approved the publishing of this blog in a format compliant with their Kindle devices. All that’s needed is an Amazon Kindle and a monthly subscription. Amazon currently has my blog priced at a monthly subscription price of 99 cents, a great bargain to cover the wireless delivery of every new blog entry as they become available. Click here to sign up for Ryan’s Incredible World, the Kindle Edition.

Unfortunately, at this time, the Kindle version only works on Kindle devices, the Kindle applications for iPhone and iPod Touch do not yet work with blog subscriptions. If you’re interested in purchasing an Amazon Kindle, they’ve recently had a price reduction to $299.00 for the regular size model and $489.00 for the DX (larger sized) model. Click here to visit Amazon’s Kindle Store. (more…)

Ryan’s Incredible World – Soon To Be Available On Amazon Kindle

Ryan's Incredible World Kindle SampleAmazon has recently expanded the usability of their Amazon Kindle devices. The Kindle device is best known for being a reader for electronic books and the ability to subscribe to newspapers and other regularly updating content sources. Well Amazon has expanded this subscription option to now include blogs. For blog site owners who choose to participate, giving their site’s visitors an additional avenue to read the blog on the go.

The service will not be free, as Amazon will charge approximately 99 cents or $1.99. It hasn’t yet been determined what prices they will charge but essentially consider the cost as covering the Kindle WhisperNet wireless delivery system. I have gone through the process of applying for Ryan’s Incredible World to be carried by Amazon’s Kindle Blog service, but it will be Amazon that determines the price, I have no say in the matter. This site should be listed in the next couple of days and I’ll post an update when that occurs.

Unfortunately, the subscription content is not yet available through the Apple iPhone or iPod Touch Amazon Kindle Applications, so it’s strictly for actual Amazon Kindle users initially. It’s nice to have an additional avenue for people to find and enjoy this blog. If you’re interested in purchasing an Amazon Kindle, they’ve recently had a price reduction to $299.00 for the regular size model and $489.00 for the DX (larger sized) model. Click here to visit Amazon’s Kindle Store.
