An Excellent Experience With Sirius XM Customer Service

Sirius XMI recently decided to try the Sirius XM iPhone application with their free seven day trial, and I quite liked being able to use my iPhone as an additional Sirius radio in addition to the Stiletto 100 I already use for Sirius. So naturally when the free trial expired, I decided to give Sirius a call to add on the Premium Internet access which is required to take advantage of the iPhone application.

I didn’t really want to pay more money, so I asked the customer service agent if she could just cancel the added on Best of XM package I had added on. I mainly got to hear Oprah Radio from the XM lineup of channels, but I’ll be honest, I didn’t like the channel very much. I wasn’t listening to any of the programs and none of the other XM stations that were added were of any interest to me, so it was kind of silly to be paying $4.04 a month extra for worthless stations. As the premium Internet add on is only $2.99 a month, it essentially means it should be no problem “downgrading” my account. Since it was all prepaid I wasn’t expecting a refund on the extra already paid.

My Proudest Moment On Jorge Cruise’s Belly Fat Cure

Belly Fat Cure Proudest MomentWhen I first met Jorge Cruise in April, one of the things I said to him was that one of my goals when I joined his Belly Fat Cure program was to be able to get on one of the smaller commuter planes and be able to latch my seat belt without having it stretched out to it’s widest point and still having to suck in my gut or contorting myself in such a way so that I could just get the belt latched. The reason why this is was a goal for me is because those 30 seater commuter planes have shorter seat belts than the ones you find in the bigger jet planes.

What I didn’t tell Jorge was one time I had to suffer the embarrassment of having to ask for a seat belt extension from the flight attendant one time because no matter how much I tried to suck in my gut, I still couldn’t get the seat belt latched when a few days before I was able to successfully do it. The flight attendant made no big deal about it but I was absolutely crushed and shamed. And if it wasn’t for the fact there were people around me that could see me, I probably would have shed a few tears over it at that moment too. I was extremely embarrassed by it.

My Grandmother’s KitchenAid Mixer – Consulting Mary Occhino About Coincidences

Mary OcchinoOne of the programs I really enjoy on Sirius Satellite Radio is Mary Occhino’s “Angels On Call” program. Mary is a psychic intuitive and also is a medium, able to communicate with people who have passed over. I often enjoy listening to Mary’s program learning about psychic things and have been fascinated by all the calls she takes. The program feels a lot like a lesson in the law of attraction rolled with a little of the paranormal. Whether or not you choose to believe that its possible, I happen to be fascinated with it.

The show is on the Sirius/XM Stars Satellite Radio channel (Channel 102 on Sirius, 155 on XM). Mary Occhino’s program broadcasts live Monday through Friday at 8 am to 11 am Eastern time zone, which is unfortunately the ungodly hours of 5 am to 8 am here on the west coast. So on work days, I’m still at work during the show, and on my off days I tend to be asleep at that hour. But fortunately, I have a Sirius Stiletto 100 radio and can record the show and play it back later in the day.

Attack Of The Birthday Offers From Restaurants

Birthday BurgerIn today’s world of viral marketing we find businesses wanting more than ever to make their interactions with their customers more personal. It’s not unusual to find opt-in subscription boxes on many of their websites and in addition to asking for your name and e-mail address, they often ask you for your birthday and or anniversary dates as well so they can make additional offers to you to celebrate your significant personal holidays in addition to all the public holidays.

It seems that a lot of restaurants in particular operate their Internet mailing lists through an Auto-Responder called Fishbowl. So it ended up being highly amusing that today, I all of a sudden go hit with several birthday offers all starting today and ended on two weeks from today on September 10th, with my actual birthday being one week away on September 3rd. So I have two whole weeks to celebrate with the various restaurants that I have signed up to be on their lists at some point in time.

With so many offers coming in all at the same time, it’s kind of interesting to look at the various offers to see which restaurants are being more generous than others. Some are free meal offers with no strings attached, some require another meal be purchased as a buy one, get one free kind of deal, some its a free dessert, and one offered a straight up discount up to a certain amount. So let’s take a look at the various offers, I’ve received, keeping in mind, I am currently single, not dating anyone at the moment, and I have a job where I work late night hours, so not the most conducive for having someone join me if I take up any of these offers.

Attended The Second Meeting Of The San Diego Byron Katie Meetup Group

Byron KatieTonight I attended the second meeting of the Byron Katie Meetup Group for the San Diego area. It was a good evening to get further exposed to more information about “The Work” that is integral to Byron Katie’s program.

We got to hear an audio of Byron Katie going through the process of “The Work” and the four questions and turn arounds within “The Work” as well as a few volunteers willing to go through the process on their stressful thoughts within the program. It’s a very enlightening process, and since I went into greater detail about the program after my first encounter with it, I’ll just invite you to read that blog entry by clicking here.

If you’d like more information on Byron Katie, visit her website at TheWork.com and if you’re in the San Diego area, consider joining the Meetup group so that you can stay informed about when meetings are. It’s looking like the meetings will likely be every other week on Wednesdays. Click here to visit the group on Meetup.com.

Introduced To “The Work” Of Byron Katie

Byron KatieYesterday, I received an e-mail invitation from Dr. Stephan Bajon for a Meetup.com meeting. Dr. Bajon is the doctor who did the Darkfield Live Cell Microscopy work on my blood for Jorge Cruise‘s upcoming documentary, “Death By Sugar” (You can see a trailer for the film that features both Dr. Bajon and me by clicking here, and if you want to read more about the experience, click here to read it here on my blog.)

Dr. Bajon’s invitation had the note “This has helped me with reducing a great deal of stressful beliefs.” and when I looked at the information about the meeting, I saw that it was for that night, which I fortunately had free. Without really looking into what the meeting was about I decided I would go. The reason I chose to do this without researching it is that I met Dr. Bajon through Jorge Cruise. How I ended up meeting and working with Jorge Cruise was through too many fortuitous coincidences that I have no other explanation for how it’s happened other than the Law of Attraction has made it happen. (That perhaps is a story for another blog entry.)

Louis CK Says “Everything Is Amazing Right Now And Nobody Is Happy”

Louis CKThanks to my friend from High School, Elyssa Lowell, I was introduced to a video clip of comedian Louis CK who made an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s show and shared a very amusing but accurate assessment of how everything is amazing in our modern world and yet nobody is happy. He shares some highlights about how things have changed since his childhood and how those new conveniences we take for granted are downright amazing compared to how it used to be.

Some of his highlights invoked memories of rotary phones, phones that actually had cords to them, phones would just ring and ring until they either got answered or the caller gave up, credit cards were a laborious process to use, and even how people are spoiled about how good they have it now. His example is about flying on an airplane, how people are bitching about how it’s bullshit if the new in-flight internet access goes down, when you should really be amazed that your in a chair in the sky getting where you’re going in just a few hours.

Raymond Aaron Adds A Video About The Power Of Mentoring

Raymond AaronLast week I mentioned that one of my mentor’s, Raymond Aaron, posted a free video that teaches how to eliminate procrastination in your life. (Click here to read that blog entry.) This week he’s added a new video that teaches about why it’s important to have mentors in your life and how you can achieve amazing things with the help of a mentor.

You might be thinking that you don’t need a mentor, but think about it for a moment. Every sports team has a coach, every movie and television show has a director, and every ship has its captain. Why? So that they can guide their team, film, show, or vessel successfully from the start to finish. Do you think Donald Trump has mentors? You bet he does. Anytime you want to learn something, you’re best bet is with the guidance of a mentor. But don’t let me try to sell you on the value of a mentor, hear about it from one of the world’s best success coaches, and he’s even going to teach it to you for free.

Busy Week Full Of Pride In San Diego

Pride FlagAfter having attended the last two San Diego Pride Parade’s in the last couple of years and having to work, I decided this year I was going to make sure I saved a few days of time off so that I could take part in the festivities this year. And with the Chantal Kreviazuk concert in Los Angeles last week, I decided to add a few more days to my time off request and as a result I was able to take part in quite a few activities.

On Tuesday night, after I had stopped by Jorge Cruise‘s office to say hello and show off the results of my 47 pounds of weight loss using his incredibly awesome Belly Fat Cure program, I treated myself to a late lunch at Which Wich sandwich shop in Hillcrest and then because I was in the area, I saw The Center for San Diego’s LGBT community was hosting a Bear Pride Bingo event that a lot of my local friends were attending, so I quickly sent in an RSVP and headed on over to the event. For $15 for a packet of bingo sheets, $2 for a dabber, and $1 for an optional game, I was set. I didn’t win any of the games but came very close on a few occasions. I did happen to know a couple people who did win, namely Vito Grandolfo and Tim Palmer. I even went with Vito and his friend Earl Shearin over to Brians’ American Eatery for a post-Bingo bite to eat. (Many thanks to Earl who wouldn’t let me pay for my meal.)

WOW! Excellent Customer Service At Apple Store

Apple StoreYesterday, after visiting my mom for Mother’s Day, I stopped at the Apple Store at Westfield – North County Fair and needed to exchange the Nike+ sensor I had bought in December because I couldn’t get it to work yesterday and I thought it might be a dead battery. The battery is supposed to be good for 1,000 miles, but so far I’ve only gotten about 200 miles on it. So I was a little ticked off that it wasn’t working so I could get in a 2 mile run before visiting my mom.

Before I determined the battery was the most likely source of the problem, I thought the 3.0 beta of the Operating System (OS) was causing the problem. I had managed to get a few runs in using the new OS, even though a couple of those runs ended up not being tracked because the Nike application crashed the iPod. Just to be sure I reinstalled the Operating System but that didn’t fix the problem. So on that basis I figured it was the battery causing the problem.

Well I printed off my purchase receipt since the store emailed me my receipt at the time of purchase. (How cool is that?) And sure enough, I walked right in, talked to one of the employees at the Apple Store and they were more than happy to help me out with no grief whatsoever. The Nike+ sensor was exchanged for a new one in just a matter of minutes and they even went so far as to renew the warranty to the date of the exchange as opposed to the original purchase. I am extremely impressed with the service I received at the Escondido Apple Store. It’s so rare to see service that doesn’t treat you like a criminal for needing assistance. I am so happy to be recommending their stores.
