Today I had the opportunity to meet fitness guru Jorge Cruise today. Jorge is the author of several books including the “8 Minutes In The Morning” series of exercise books, “The 3 Hour Diet,” and his newest book, “Body At Home: A Simple Plan to Lose 10 Pounds.”
Jorge’s latest work has been in regards to a book he’s writing called “The Belly Fat Cure” which is set to be released to the public tentatively at the end of the year or very early next year. Jorge is currently offering a free special report on his website at JorgeCruise.com which outlines some of the basics of the program. According to Jorge’s research it seems waist circumference is more an indicator of poor health than the actual amount of weight. And there are two big contributors to belly fat, high sugar intake and low fiber intake. It is well worth your time checking out JorgeCruise.com to get a copy of this special report to read about it yourself.

I’d like to introduce you to my new favorite hamburger from In-N-Out Burger. It is called a “Double Meat Protein Style With Ketchup, Mustard, & Pickles” and it’s from In-N-Out Burger’s “Secret Menu.”
Like many other Star Trek fans, I am anxiously awaiting the relaunch of Star Trek that is set to happen on May 8th, 2009 with the new film by Director J.J. Abrams. The new filmed version, simply called “Star Trek” with no other subtitle or even a number (it’s the 11th Star Trek film for the record.)
If you ever needed to see a poster child for The Law of Attraction at work Susan Boyle is it. As April 11th started, the world outside of Susan’s hometown of Bathgate, a rapidly growing town in West Lothian in Scotland had no knowledge of Susan Boyle. By the end of the day all of Britain was a buzz with Susan Boyle and within days, the world is all a buzz with Susan. In less than a week’s time she’s gone from an unemployed, lonely woman with a cat named Pebbles, to instant celebrity even rumored to have been invited to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show and in talks for a record deal with Simon Cowell’s record label all thanks to a song from the musical, “Les Misérables” called “I Dreamed A Dream”, Simon Cowell’s “Britain’s Got Talent” program on ITV, and the magic of YouTube.
One of my favorite applications that I’ve been using on my iPod Touch has been the Pandora Internet Radio application. Despite having a collection of over 12,000+ songs on my computer to put on my iPod at any time, I sometimes get bored with the music I already have. Perhaps it’s just the knowledge that there’s no chance of hearing anything new which creates the boredom, but in any case, sometimes random play is just not enough.
Skype officially made it’s debut in the iTunes Application Store recently. To say it was a highly anticipated application would be the understatement of the year. Some reports have indicated that the application was downloaded over a million times in the first two days it was available, approximately one download every six seconds to put it in perspective.
With tomorrow’s deadline for taxes to be filed with the Internal Revenue Service (aka the dreaded IRS), I’m lamenting that I usually have my taxes done by now and the refund already long deposited in my account. This last year I started a business and have been getting my records ready for the itemized deductions. It’s been a long process that wouldn’t have been so bad if I hadn’t been putting it off. As Raymond Aaron, one of my mentors says, we only procrastinate on the things we don’t really want to do anyway. How true that is.

One of my all time favorite shows is “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” Well thanks to following Wil Wheaton on Twitter, I found out about the episode of “Family Guy” that was going to air. I don’t pay attention to current shows on television so without being online, I never would have known about it.
